As the Yard Foremen for Sliters Lumberyard in Somers, your mission is to supervise all activities of the lumberyard, including personnel, equipment operation and maintenance, collaborating with dispatch to schedule trucks, receiving incoming merchandise and housekeeping, responding to customer service for will-call activity.
Directly responsible for proper unloading and loading of customer, company and supplier trucks.
Directly responsible for physical control and storage of all yard materials. Develops yard crew into a cohesive team; manages and motivates employees to achieve company goals and customer service objectives.
