As a Paint Sales Associate you will be responsible for preparing customers' paint orders quickly and accurately, which involves tinting and mixing paint. You will also be responsible for helping in retail sales and stocking products throughout the store
Responsibilities include
- Assist customers with their paint projects by offering helpful advice as well
- Mixing paints using a computerized tinting machine
- Ability to match and coordinate colors
- Acknowledging customers and inquiring about customer’s project or problem and providing a solution.
- Communicating professionally in person and by phone.
- Assists in other departments or with other job duties as assigned by Manager.
Required skills
- Paint experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to approach customers and offer assistance to solve customer’s project problems
- Safely operate power equipment, if required
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent listening and oral communication skills
- Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors. Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
- Highly motivated, friendly and eager to expand knowledge
- This position requires standing and walking throughout the day and includes occasional heavy lifting (often 50 lbs.)
Qualifications
- Must have ability to work efficiently and stay on task with limited supervision
- Will assist with other duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Our operations are open 7 days per week, depending upon location. Schedule may require weekend and evening hours.
