The mission of the Bigfork Store Floor Manager is to support and work in conjunction with the Store Manager for the day-to-day staffing, merchandising, freight processing and stocking of the retail operation at our Bigfork location. The Floor Manager is responsible for maximizing retail hardware sales and profitability by ensuring that the retail operation is optimally staffed, stocked and merchandised to consistently deliver upon our mission to provide Project Solutions from People You Trust.
Responsibilities include:
- Forecasting scheduling needs to meet customer demand and create work schedules for hardware sales and freight and receiving associates to meet customer traffic, work flow to ensure the retail floor is appropriately staffed.
- Coordinating the overall supervision of staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and company procedures are followed.
- Delegating workload among associates to meet customer service, freight processing, merchandising and visual presentation standards.
- Conducting store walks and review evaluations with management and staff to identify opportunity areas, and correct all issues with a sense of urgency and project plan.
- Assisting with the development of the in store marketing strategy to support promotions, events, and seasonal merchandising and is responsible for implementation of the plan.
- Acting to solve problems immediately that require immediate attention.
- Promoting Commitment to Customer as part of our core values. This must be accomplished on a daily basis through observing, monitoring and coaching associate's performance and interactions on the sales floor and receiving areas.
- Using huddles, communication boards, and store meetings as the means to communicate the store's performance, and educate, engage and motivate the team.
- Driving customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
- Maintaining accurate inventory at all stages through on-hand integrity, daily receiving and inter-store transfers, store communication cross departments, product mix and flow, and adhering to Company best practices, metrics and deadlines.
- Conducting preventative safety and fire inspections, and take appropriate actions to correct all issues.
The successful candidate must become facile in all areas of the retail operation to include, but are not limited to, operation of forklifts, receiving procedures, color matching and mixing paint, making keys, opening and closing procedures.
This position requires some physical exertion, standing and walking throughout the day. The responsibilities include lifting up to 60 lbs or team lifting up to 100 lbs and include some outdoor exposure to elements. May load merchandise into customer vehicles.
